We have commercial solar panels on our house, so I feel I have a good understanding of what’s involved in making a reliable, practical panel. It’s beyond my skill, probably beyond most people’s. Certainly not an easy project.

any plans for powering a home with solar , is a scam,
it will cost you more for batteries,switches, and up keep .
than to just stay on the grid,
you will need a bank of batteries, a converter, a switch to transfer the juice, wireing , its just not worth it, cost wise

I’m sure it is.I’ve been looking into solar power now for some time & there are literally 100′s of these kind of sites. I’m not saying that you can’t build a solar panel yourself and do it a lot cheaper than what you can buy them for. But it’s not as easy as this guy(or the rest of them) make it sound.And the solar panel is just one part of a system.There ARE parts of this system that are not for the everyday DIYer. And the other guy is right.Search the web and you’ll find the same info he’s selling for free. Good Luck

It’s possible that you could build for this price, but you must expect a lot of fiddling around. I expect the plans to be fairly general and ‘woolly’ leaving much information for the reader to surmise for themselves. Your biggest problem is how to get the power into the grid, you will need a Grid Tie Inverter for this and they don’t come cheap.

I checked them out (being an avid alternative electicity buff) and they are not selling you parts, only the instructions on how to build a solar panel for under $200. Yep, you can build a solar panel for under $200, and a sizeable one at that.

You could buy reject cells on ebay, which are about 30% of the cost of new ones, and generally work just as well…You can also construct the panels yourself with cheaper materials…ect

I wouldnt bother giving this guy $50 for his info. All the info you need is readily available on google. Just start looking!
