I wonder if you …
I wonder if you painted the roof of the car port black if there would be much more of a heat gain than what you already have here?
Great idea though. I have a friend who has made his own black-plastic pipe solar shower and loves it.
For me, though, I’d want to use something other than plastic. I don’t like the idea of any chemicals leeching out of it into the water.

I made a heater for …
I made a heater for my pool with black garden hose. I used a 4×8 sheet of ply wood and drilled holes in it and then ran zip ties through to hold the hose in position. I then covered the whole thing with plexi-glass to hold the heat in. And then insulated pipe to the pool plumbing. It usually brings the temperature up about 10 degrees or more on a sunny day. Makes those early and late season swims, much more enjoyable.

Welcome back… …
Welcome back… Thank me very much… Denise “This hose has been stretched out”. Dan “I’ve never used material that thick B4 so it had a mind of it’s own” Denise “spiral this hose together…all in one shot” (Denise smiles) more music. Denise “Took 10 minutes to roll this hose…on top of each other…It’s nicely laid out.” Dan “some screws stickin out, don’t wanna cut yourself” Denise holds the hose. Dan moves the hose back and forth. This system is great for pools but not domestic.

Probably they …
Probably they should be investigating new ways to save energy before they spend vast amounts of money. A case in point is that in 2005 the Government, Market Transformation Program had tests made on a new type of cleaner that employs Air Recycling Technology. The results show that it could save 1.5 Terawatt (1,500 Gigawatt) each year in the UK alone. Simply, by changing the type of cleaner we use in our homes. It was originally designed to remove health hazards inherent in the vacuum cleaner.
