Hey, I want to become more ‘greener’ and need a site with good, solid information on DIY solar panels and kits, and possibly even videos on how to do so. Has anyone got good links?

I would say, be honest with yourself, and consider whether your primary goal is really being greener, or saving money. Some things such as insulation will be both, but building your own solar panels will be neither. It could be a fun experience, though.
If what you meant was simply buying commercial panels and installing them, here’s what we did: http://www.archive.org/details/DIY_self_installed_solar_photovoltaic_panels . It doesn’t necessarily save money, consider carefully before you do it.
