@RashtraVishnu ...
@RashtraVishnu honestly right now i don't know i have no way of testing it. I mainly built this generator randomly when i found out it was possible and because i don't have a generator. An actual generator would have voltage regulation and everything im sure to keep a nice steady 120 volts... mine fluctuates but not by much. I plan to add a voltage regulator to it sometime in the future. and maybe a nice big 3 phase motor that way i can get 220 along with 120. but as far as efficiency IDK..

in your opinion, ...
in your opinion, how efficient is this compaired to a small gas powered AC generator?

pretty cool! ...
pretty cool! especially since the engine isnt at more than an idle, so its slightly more quiet and a bit more efficient. but how much total power can this put out? i know its not gunna run a whole house off of an old motor, but could you use it practically, like maybe a mini fridge for keeping food from spoiling in the case of a power failure? mini fridges only take about 6A running at most so i could see it working

The main downside ...
The main downside of this generator is... i have a sump pump in my house if the power goes out in a rain storm my basement floods (finished basement) see with a 1HP motor as my generator i can power a 1/10HP induction motor only. which my pump is more then that. The added inductance of the other motor cancels out the capacitive reactance of the capacitors causing it to stop generating electricity.

@codemsan you could ...
@codemsan you could easily run a mini fridge. I have yet to see how much power this thing can really put out. the math formula that i saw on some site came out to be around 1200 Watts but idk if thats correct or not. the good thing about this generator is it cant be overloaded... if you do overload it it simply stops generating and you just remove the load and it will start again.

@tylerlavite this ...
@tylerlavite this video just shows a motor which lights a bulb. thats it! why do you call me a moron? just because i tell the truth? :)
There is nothing special

@idontcaresocry ...
@idontcaresocry your a moron its a generator its not to just light a bulb you moron. And what in the do you think a generator is? you can make a generator turn just like a motor a generator is basically a motor. Learn something before you make retarded comments moron.

lol a whole motor ...
lol a whole motor just for a bulb? this is the most inefficient thing i have ever seen!

@tylerlavite oh ...
@tylerlavite oh okay thats cool, as long as it has SOME practical use!
