In this video this mans home is completely powered by the power of the sun which is available to us all. DIY solar power for your home is actually fairly simple. You can follow the above link and find an ebook giving instructions on how to make your own solar power system for less than $200.00 worth of materials to get started. I have found it very useful information in solar power kits and highly recommend it.

it would be worth …
it would be worth it to pay double that. keep in mind he is hardly paying anything for transportation and if he is not using all that energy that he is harnessing then he is getting paid for what goes back out on the grid. worth every penny.

We don’t have these …
We don’t have these panels at our homes because it probably cost him over $250,000 to build it all, that’s why. They kept that part quite.

When the batteries …
When the batteries eventually do go bad, can they be recycled? Or do they end up in a landfill? And do we have the resources to produce enough of these batteries if we experienced a nation wide trend change to electrical vehicles?

there should a donate button and free information really for such an important subject. but id rather pay this good man than an oil company executive. i wonder what great things he would do with the money? whereas an oil company would probably fund experiments in addictive harmful substances chemicals etc.

Every time I watch …
Every time I watch one of these videos, I get really interested. Then I find out I have to purchase a book or books or a system or a kit. There is always a catch. Someone gets rich while I toil away figuring out construction plans, etc.

My house/yard would …
My house/yard would look industrial/commercial looking with all that equipment in/on it. I would hesitate to cover my attractive shingles with electric panels. My Subdivision would not approve the “hardware” look. The shingle type panels would probably be the only thing I could use.
Just my .02 thanks!

Why arent we all …
Why arent we all driving them, hmm THE GOVERNMENT! The government has the full control over this. The Canadian government in Canada decided not to pass the electric car because there in not much in the way of money for them in it. I say the government and goto war with your own country. Over throw the power of your government. If voting does not work then killing people in the government will!

While the Rav 4 could certainly drive an 800 hour trip, you could not do it nonstop, but would have to charge it up a few times on the way.
