Special thanks and shout out — to Dennis Grubb and the staff at Solaro Energy !

Here is a direct link to the main Solaro Energy website — clearly you can see they make many different products related to energy saving / off the grid solutions: http://solaroenergy.com/products/solar-lighting/

watch the video explanation of one of their lighting systems from Dennis directly here– this is their youtube page:

It is important to have a power source — for multiple reasons — power outages, emergencies, natural / man made disasters, severe weather, and even for off the grid living.

Costs can range from just a few dollars (under 100) into multiple thousands. Depending on your budget — there is a form of backup power that many people can afford. The time to prepare is now… BEFORE anything more happens on a global basis.

Try going a couple days without any form of electricity. Life literally goes back to the dark ages without it.

To get a similar setup like the one sent to me… here is their main contact information:

Here is more about their company:

here are several other links to find out more about solar power — multiple companies offer budget solutions — im not just promoting solaroenergy — Im promoting having a power solution available to meet your needs in case of emergency or to offset your costs in real life:

Here is a link to the mini-solar charger I was talking about that I saw at walgreens (cost is 15 dollars):

Here is a link to several other companies (I cannot vouch for these others as I have not seen or tested their products — read the reviews on the other companies before making any purchase)…

I can vouch for Solaroenergy — that they are indeed a real company known for making working/high quality solar panels.

cheers to them for sending this system!

Whether you want to simply cut your power bills to half or completely eliminate them the one stop solution is SolarPoweredHome. Why pay a huge amount like $1000s for utilization of solar or wind power when you can have the opportunity to build your own home made solar system for less than $200. Thats right, there are guides that teach you everything you need to know about generating your own electricity by using wind and solar power. With the complete step-by-step setup fully illustrated manuals and easy to follow video instructions present in the guide you will be able to create renewable energy at home. Solar and wind power systems brought from the market costs higher but the guide and the program in it gives you the information that is required to get the same results at a tiny price. Once you have learned and ready to build and install your alternate power supply, you will save hundreds of dollars on your electricity bill. You need not have to build a 500 hundred foot high wind turbine to save lots of money on energy, a much smaller can be built by following the instructions present in the SolarPoweredHome kit. The …

Solaro Day™ daylight system can also be used with a Night & Day Light Kit. The Solaro Day™ Night & Day Light Kit gives you the opportunity to use the light throughout the day, at night or in cloudy weather conditions. You have full control of when the system is on or off and you may select between 2 power sources, the sun or the grid. (SD-ACKIT)

Starting out at the roof level, Solaro™ has designed a line of special proprietary solar panels that collect sunlight, even on cloudy days, and convert it into safe low voltage DC power. We send that power to a Solaro Day™ daylight simulator for use inside your home or office.

The Solaro Day™ daylight simulator will create the same light that a traditional or tubular skylight creates but without the costly installation including the cutting of a large hole in your roof or ceiling. You will also be able to experience the sun up, sun down and cloud movement inside when your Solaro Day™ is powered directly by the solar panel, just as you would experience with a skylight.

The Solaro Day™ typically requires only a 1/2 inch diameter hole drilled into your roof for the interconnect cable making the installation fast and simple!

How to Prepare And Survive Economic Collapse with solar Energy.
Reducing Your Energy Needs before Going Green With simple instructions available on how to convert to homemade wind power or DIY solar panels for as little as $200, many people are taking the alternative energy more seriously. When choosing to take on a DIY conversion project the first question most people ask is will one windmill or one large solar panel be enough? There are too many factors involved here to answer that question for you. But one way to start is to ensure your home is efficient in the first place. In this article we will walk you through some steps that will help you reduce your energy consumption before you start converting your home.
Reducing Your Energy Needs
One often overlooked step in converting a home to green power is reducing your energy needs in the first place. The average home uses inefficient lighting, power hungry appliances, and poor heating/cooling solutions. An important step to reducing your energy needs is to look at the inefficiencies in your current system.
Consider: 1. Replacing old incandescent bulbs with fluorescents or led bulbs will cut your power consumption from light in half.
2. Replacing old, inefficient, appliances may reduce your energy bills by as much as 30% by itself.
You should also look at your current heating/cooling solutions. For example an electric hot water heater could potentially be replaced by a solar water heater. Maybe that inefficient air conditioner can be replaced with a more efficient heat exchanger. If you need help choosing more efficient appliances, an excellent resource for this is put out by the Canadian government: http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/EnerGuide/home.cfm. It’s called Energuide, and it covers everything power consumption of home appliance to energy requirements of large commercial air conditioners. And also the U.S Department Of Energy. http://www.energysavers.gov/. Spend some time looking through that guide and calculating how much you can reduce your power consumption in different areas of your home. By simply taking a look at everything in your home that consumes energy, you will find ways to reduce your energy needs before you start. You don’t necessarily have to go all out and spend $10,000 replacing everything — but things as simple as changing your lighting will reduce your energy needs before you start your conversion project.
